Set between the Durance and the Monts de Vaucluse,
the Luberon is rich in hilltop villages and châteaux,
and its rich ochre cliffs make it unique in Provence. This
universe of colours and savours bathed in sunlight is a favourite
destination for the discerning tourist seeking its famous
"art de vivre". The Luberon offers both historical
monuments and unspoilt countryside, including the Country
Park nature reserve.
The setting sun lingering on the hot stone
of old villages and highlighting the warm ochre of the bare
hills increases the beauty of the panorama. In spring, the
pink and white blossom contrasts softly with the grey rocks
and stone walls of the terracing. The Luberon is a breath
of fresh air and peace.
